Meet The Team of Beauty Therapists

Hi, I'm Iva and I'm 32 years old.

I recently moved from Croatia to Ireland to become part of the Kinsale Hotel and Spa team to work as a Spa Operations Manager.

My career started very early. My father was a successful hairdresser and owner of hair salons in Croatia so I was involved in the beauty industry since childhood. Because of interest and love towards it, I enrolled in Cosmetology school and graduated with honours.

During my high school education, I realized I had a passion towards make up. On two occasions I received 1st place in the Croatian Championship - Beauty Makeup category and 4th place in the World Championship - USA.

After graduating from high school, I enrolled at the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality, where I earned a Master's degree in Economics. During my schooling I worked in various hotels as a Spa therapist, and for the last 7 years as a Spa Manager.

My hobbies are learning foreign languages, so in addition to English and Croatian I know a little bit of Italian, a little bit of German and Spanish. I love to travel, spend time on the beach and in nature and hiking.

Hi I am Monika!

I started my adventure in the beauty industry in 2009, when I was studying to become a history teacher. I was working part time as a make-up artist in a drugstore and fell in love with the luxurious skincare and products, quit history and completed cosmetology studies (bachelor’s degree). Over the last 13 years I was working as a skincare and facial trainer, I opened Beautiful SPA in a 5* Hotel in Poland, I managed a busy SPA in Gdansk and I worked on a cruise ship in Fiji, Australia and New Zealand. I am an experienced Facialist, Beauty trainer, Makeup Artist and SPA Manager and today I’m helping Iva with day-to-day Spa operations as a Spa Assistant Operations Manager.

I love hiking with my husband. We have enough gear to survive a zombie apocalypse. I consider myself to be a bit of a nerd and gamer (I love the Witcher game series). I also love unexpected travelling to unknown and unobvious places. Therefore, you are more likely to meet me on the top of the Mount Roraima than on a beach in Greece.

I am a mom of a wild teenage girl who happens to be my best friend and I’m also a cat lady – my furry princesses name is Lumi and she is truly a queen of my home.
